I'm looking at this tank that is 6 ft long 2 ft wide and 3 ft tall and it has 3/4 in thickness made by seaclear.

I've done a little research and find a lot of people saying 1 inch + thickness but these people are building their own tanks.

so do you think the above dimensions with 3/4 acrylic thickness is worth considering? They are asking under $1,000 complete setup with sump stand canopy, turn key setup 5 years old.

My aquarium is the same height with 3/4" panels and it does bow in the middle. It doesn't bother me, but it is something to consider. If everything is in good condition, it sounds like a deal to me.

Great thanks.

On another note, what's the maintenance like with such a high tank?

My plywood tank isn't quite that high, but I have to lean on it at the waist in order to get some places in it. Just the nature of the beast, luckily I don't have to get in it but maybe once a month.

You will always need a step ladder and tools to reach inside the tank. I do not use substrate and have good water circulation to keep debris from collecting on the bottom instead of in the sump.

3/4 should be fine, see if you can fill the tank and check for any bow also check the seams for any splitting, crazing etc.

1 inch would be perfect for this height, if higher price is not an issue i would pass on this.
