Will do, right now the tank is a just full of random rocks and stuff. I need to go out get all the supplies I needLooks good, can we get a full tank pic.
I haven’t seen any lip locking or anything like that, he is still feeding and there is no gravel. Will see how he does in the next few daysRegarding your fire mouth with the mouth problem. Thorichthys have quite weak mouths that are easily dislocated by other cichlids. Have you noticed any jaw locking at all?
They are also prone, due to their feeding habits, of getting gravel lodged in their mouths. If you have no gravel and the fish is feeding then this should not be the issue.
If the jaw is dislocated it can be eased back in to position by hand. This is a delicate procedure and can damage the jaw further. I would keep an eye on it and see how he gets on. I would only attempt to manipulate the jaw if it stops feeding as a last resort.

Thanks, I just noticed how the water looks yellow on camera but nevermind. Hopefully the plants will take off and it will start to look goodIt looks like you have made a good start, I think it will be stunning when the plants get going and the branches are added.
That is true but I also wanted something different as wellThere are more rairer species in the hobby then well looked after adult common species. Large 10 inch jd are like rocking horse poo.
