No I give them a bloody good telling off.Spell check gets me again, "final", should read fungal,
and I'll bet Stanzzzz7 doesn't actually scold the leaves, but probably scalds them.

The reason I asked this lady in particular is her parents built the house in the 50's and left it to her when they passed. Both her and her parents are and were hippys and don't believe in any of that so the yard has never been sprayed with anything.Make sure your friends mum had not sprayed the tree with some kind of insect or final treatment.
This sounds easier... I realized yesterday that I don't have a pot (or even a bowl) big enough for the longer leaves and didn't want to snap them because that would kind of defeat the point of them so I never took them around. Pouring a kettle over them sounds lots easier, I can do that on a cake rack outside easily. My neighbours will probably think I'm crazy but oh well.Agree with Every one else, they will be fine. You could just poor boiling water from a kettle over them and they will be ok to use.
Boiling will remove some tannins but the longer you boil them the quicker they break down in the tank.
Personally I just scold them.
Are your neighbors new? Otherwise "kittie Kay is crazy" is probably old newsThe reason I asked this lady in particular is her parents built the house in the 50's and left it to her when they passed. I moved in in October... So technically I'm new lolAre your neighbors new? Otherwise "kittie Kay is crazy" is probably old news
So I guess they are still in the "haven't learned phase"I moved in in October... So technically I'm new lol
Way hotter than I'd like it to be. Last couple of days have been above 30°c so I've been dying! Anything above 25 makes me want to die so 30+ is absolute hell..So I guess they are still in the "haven't learned phase"
How's the weather up their lately?
