Ryukin x black moor spawn

Those koi came out really nice!
growing up my dad kept koi and some of his fish were close to if not over 3 feet.
We always anticipated to find fry at some point but with an 8' deep pond we never found any. My guess is they all ended up as lunch.

It must be fascinating to watch them grow and develop this way, good luck with your keepers!

It has been fun growing them out, but sadly I have them up for sale now. They aren’t developing the way I want. So I won’t be keeping them till spring as planned.

Maybe I’ll have better luck this coming year with spawns.

Let me know if you get another hybrid between a black moor and something else, I have a soft spot for black moors and am curious to see what hybrids between them and other goldfish could look like.

Can do. I’m sure my black moor and ryukin will spawn again this spring/summer. Hopefully without all the deformities I got last year. I’ll be adding two more fancies to the mix too. A fantail and a ranchu. I think the ranchu is a female.
