Picked up seven baby bartoni cichlids about a month ago.They’re about 2 inches max,5 of them are already showing their tuxedos the other 2 stay mainly brown grayish.Does anyone know if their sexable at this small size

The females usually display the "tuxedo" pattern earlier, with the males holding the dramatic colors during breeding.

Six weeks and they may have grown an inch.They are a very interesting fish.Not as aggressive towards each other as I was lead to believe.7 fish still in a 6 foot tank and hardly a torn fin

I believe your experience with lack of aggression is because you started them outing a properly sized tank. 6ft.
Many people think because they are small a smaller tank will work, and are usually disappointed with the results.

I miss keeping them..

Love them, love the spawning colors.

What do they look like in non breeding colors? Can’t find many good ones.

Mine are only 2 1/2,3 inches at the most but mine stay this color all the time
