One of the best things about owning a Red Texas or Flowerhorn -- every day seeing them doing loops whenever you approach the tank. Sure they're doing it for food, and sure they probably still hate you, but it nonetheless lightens the heart.

That's so true. He has bit me several times during WC's, and always attacks the Mag Float when cleaning the glass.

I'm wondering if it's the Texas blood -- my FH is actually a Kamfa-Red Texas hybrid, and he's quite a bit more aggressive than any other FH I've had before, even after a year and half together.
 
I don't know what makes him so aggressive. His bad attitude is far worse than any cichlid I've ever kept. He also has quite a sharp set teeth.

Well pretty much all the fish that make up a FH are territorial/aggressive -- throwing a Texas into that mix is just asking for trouble lol (I had a beautiful Blue Texas about 10 years ago, he also was very aggro when his territory was invaded in any way).
