Two different variation of Mokelembembe

Two different variation of Polypterus mokelembembe.
Both are from main stream of River Congo in Kinshasa, Democratic republic of Congo.

Bright yellow one is my last addition in 2018.

Nice. Mine looks like your other one. Mostly just dark but you can see a pattern if you look.

That yellow one is gorgeous! I had one similar, more green than yellow though. clm08k has him now, along with hers that looks more like your other moke. Interesting.

yep! I do. Both are also wild caught. Not 100% sure on the catch locations. I did see King El post about the striped pec fin variant appearing at Pool Malebo and the darker one at Fimi River.

Here are some pics I took this week of the Mokes:
The dark one is Bassy (acts/looks like a basilisk...she was killing everything for a year). Sometimes called “the moke.”

Striped pecs/ green/patterned moke is magpie ’s Soba. He’s very mellow and gentle, but keeps everyone in line. He was more Neon green
in her tank, Due to her green thumb and darker substrate. He’s still very Neon green on the top.
