Little update on the project. The two stools for the table are done (pic 2). Just need to wait until epoxy fully cures then sand with 220 grit and apply finishing coat. The coffee table is looking pretty good as well. It’s the pic below with the blue epoxy lakes (1,3). The big dinner table I have not started yet. Contemplating a putty, tape or other Mold method. Any suggestions?
Thank you! Filled the rest of the lake. Tomorrow take the tape off the Mold then one last coat of clear over the lake. Let harden fully flip over and sand the bottom
For filling voids and creating the river itself I do around 1/2” every pour then leave it around 1/8th from being full. The last 2 pours I use only clear epoxy
I’m going to say the coffee table is now done. Just need to wait 72 hours then sand the bottom off and apply a very thin coat for protection. I really like how this one turned out. The two seats are finished as well. Next is the main piece. The dinner table with the epoxy river
