Yes, that is true. Earlier in the day yesterday I think it was only half a mile visibility with all the blowing snow. Not that anyone is really out traveling right now. Lol
Schools closed yesterday and today. I believe the post office is closed today. And a few small businesses are also closed.
Our state rarely closes down, but with the risk of frostbite in 10mins or less we make an exception.
It takes me longer then 10mins just to walk to my mailbox and back. Haha

The temp this morning is -29 with a realfeel of -56. Ick.

Start by plasticing up those windows, put down draft stoppers, bundle up from head to......wait. That doesn’t have a negative sign in front of it

I went out this morning to get in my car and the door was frozen shut.I had to exert a bit of force to get it open.....got in,turned the car on and the dashboard thermometer read sixteen degrees.

Next Monday may be a high of 78 (yea!) but we have chance of rain for the next 6 days(everyday).

Well I’m excited for the weekend here. 38 on Saturday and 41 on Sunday. I just hope that’s really the temps we’ll get and not just made-up to get us through this cold.

If it were me I'd be putting on a sweater and ski jacket lol I'm such a wimp for cold weather now after so many years on this island, I'd probably die of hypothermia in 10 min. if I ever went back to Alaska.



That said I very much respect all you cold climate tropical fish keepers, it's a whole 'nother ball game you have to deal with.

My car didnt start this morning, -25F here, uber to work! Starting off the day in the hole.

Ugh, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

I forgot to start our vehicles yesterday so I went out this morning to run them. Both had a really hard start but fired thank goodness! I still have to go out and start the other truck, but it’s across the property in my husbands shop and I really don’t want to go out there It hasn’t been run in a few weeks and I’m afraid I’ve let it sit too long.
