It's amazing that they start out so small.
Yup. Lfs in my city sell them for $35. Don’t even need a big tank. They only grow as big as their environment. So says the owner

Sad but true. I fell in love with these guys when I was a kid reading about piranhas and there was one that got chewed up pretty bad in the pictures of one of my books. Didn’t even realize people kept them as pets until I came on here. So this is truly my first dream fish unicorn. Some day I will grow up and be like viktor.
One needs not worry that the refuse TSN we get sold will ever even get to 3'. A realistic expectation is 2'-2.5'. So their target tank doesn't need to be as large as may be surmised from the photo of a lady holding a corruscans, the champion in size among TSN. But something about that photo is amiss for me. Either we are getting tricked or the lady is 4' or something else. This fish looks impossibly large.
It really does look enormous but I have no information on it.It is just a random Instagram photo.
