I guess he didn't like my offer...

Exactly. I feel 500 for a 220 is very reasonable. Now that one is a weird foot print, not one I'd buy. But to cut it so low in my eyes is disrespectful. A new standard 180 will cost about $800 here, RR will add 300 so would drilling it and buying a cheap overflow a good overflow and you are looking at 1500. So 500 not to unreasonable.

I could sell my 180s all day long for 500 i would have problems moving that oddball for 300. Its probably a saltwater keeper

It's like buying a Kia or a funky designed house.

I agree. Its a weird shape. But if it were a standard 220 itd be a steal. Thats to deep for a reef....maybe a fowlr. If it was 24" deep... reef all day long! id be all over it.

It's an odd footprint for sure, but that doesn't mean it's not worth it. One mans odd is another mans perfect. I could see that footprint making one helluva an amazing planted angelfish/community tank, would make a pretty neat tank filled with del's and Sen polys, or saltwater. Different size for sure but it could be cool for certain things.

Salt is big in my area and that thing would be listed for $2000 or so (and would probably sell pretty quick, too)

You know the more I think about it the more I want that tank! S Steve_C you are right thatd be a great angel or discus tank. Or a tank for a Lineatus puffer!

I need to calm down...

I was selling snails once $2 each. A lady contacted me and said she will take $20.

Deal. (What she didn’t know if I always throw in a bunch of extras).

We agreed she would come to my place to pick them up that night. She then sends me a message later saying she was tired bc of chemo and would like to come tomorrow. I had a reservations about it but offered to deliver them to her free of charge if close and $10 anywhere else in the city at a time convenient for her. She said she was close and gave her address....30 min drive away so I tell her $10 for deliver. $30 total for 10 snails and delivery. then she said she would only wanted to spend $20 and asked how many snails she would get so I told her 5 snails and delivery would be $20. Then she sent me a message saying that was ridiculous for a delivery fee and I should only charge her $5 for delivery and she wanted more snails...

I sent her a message saying I was not interested in her money or business and good luck.

I feel bad bc she may have actually been going through chemo, but I’m not going to be played and bullied into lowering my prices and spending 1 hour of my time driving for free bc you feel entitled to make people feel bad for you...now on the other hand if we made all arrangements and I arrived at her place and she gave me money and thanked me and explained her chemo and tiredness upon my arrival I probably would not have charged her anything and gave them to her for free

Just for laughs

To put it into perspective , I was selling 1 pair for $400... which is similar to LFS price

And $20-30 can get you a motoro ray.. yes they are practically worthless in my country

^^^thats crazy hahaaa

So I was selling 4 radions from my reef tank I shut down two years ago. I had a friend of mine who runs the largest reef Facebook group in the area post my lights for sale (I don’t have Facebook). A guy over Facebook said he wanted them. My friend told me that this guy was on the group, good guy yeah yeah yeah. So I started talking with him over the phone and he wouldn’t send me an etransfer to ship the lights as he didn’t trust Id ship them, so he wanted me to ship them to my friend as they live close to one another and apparently know each other (the guys son was married to his cousin or something like that). Anyways, I knew my buddy well enough, went through 4 years of university with him so I sent him the lights. My friend brought the lights to this guys house and he said this “ok you are a nice young guy, I won’t hurt you so I’ll give you $800 cash for the lights, I’m not paying the full $2000, take the $800, dont tell your friend and say you got mugged or jumped. You can even tell him my name and where I live, cops won’t do **** to me”. Apparently this guy is a bit of a seller of snowflakes. Anyways my friend said “no I’m not going to f**** over my friend” and left. He brought the lights back a week later, told me the guy just stopped responding and couldn’t meet up. He didn’t tell me the actual story until month or so after.
