It is strange that according to news reports the “attacker’s “ knew him from the set of Empire.
May explain why the beat down he took looks more like a little ruff housing.

Might be a whole lot of quacking going on pretty soon...the latest is that the police never needed Smollet's phone,they were just playing him.They did a "tower dump" and obtained his phone's metadata before they even requested the phone.That cell phone data revealed that two of Smollet's friends took a Lyft to the crime scene area.That discussion was probably among the information that Smollet deleted from his phone before finally handing it over to authorities.

Earlier this week neighbors said they didn't believe it either because the neighborhood is mostly black and g@y.

Hello; First let me do the disclaimer that I do not know the facts myself so my comments are guess work. Kinda reminds me of the story a while back of a womans new car calling the cops after she left the scene of a couple of accidents.
So if the story is true then these three used communication and transport services which leave a traceable trail. I guess they also thought by deleting records from their phones the data also disappeared. I guess Lyft is a car ride service that probably generates a credit card trail.

I recall when young a man I knew always having a lot of coins around. I also was in the car a few times when he drove to a phone booth to make calls. At the time I figured it was to a girl friend but later thought different. Any way now days the burner phone has replaced the phonebooth and there has to be a way to get around which do not leave a trail.

I have formulated a few notions about what tis going on but will hold them close for now as I await more information. Too early to make a call in the absolute just yet but some big questions are hanging out there.
