Magnus_Bane here is a wild caught Florida gar that would be considered a red morph. Was pretty red when freshly caught under some sunlight. Artificial light doesn't quite do it justice. As they grow larger, they tend to fade in color. It's possibly due to the tannins or something in the wild that helps them retain color. Interesting how this one developed faint bluish green spots on its back.
