So while I agree that there was a lot of fluff to the show, It was at least a show about fish&tanks and not another Kardashian or bachlor dating crap show and it sucks that it's now gone.

Thats a good point. Fish geek stuff wouldnt attract enough viewers
 
I get what you are saying about reaching the masses but I grew up watching wild kingdom and stuff like that. I feel the reality show hijinks and fake drama are replacing something more important I guess.

Oh I totally agree with ya don't get me wrong. I really couldn't stand when they would pull all the fake pranks and stanged stuff on Tanked, it was so lame and easy to see it was fake. I'm just saying I guess I can understand the reasons why the producers feel thay have to do that sort of junk on shows.
 
I think they went way over board with the reality stuff. Natgeo, history and discovery channels used to be my favorite channels other than a few shows its all reality driven now

Im still trying to figure out the point of naked and afraid.

Dude i watched a little of one episode that took place in the tropics.... maaaaang the places they got bitten by bugs !

I can imagine lol.I always thought it was rather weird to have two complete strangers stripped naked and marooned together in some jungle......and draws or drawers,always thought that that was a funny word for underwear.
 
All these reality TV shows fake the drama. I heard from a few of these people that the added drama actually damaged their business and the relationships with the people on the show. Kind of a sad reality, the demand for drama. I feel a “how it’s made” style show for the aquarium hobby with beautiful reef/planted aquascapes would be relatively successful. Documenting the whole process from the custom tank to the finished project. I’ll see if Natgeo wants to sponsor. :D
