I always thought the epsom salt treatment w/food intriguing. Usually the fish is advanced with the disease and not eating when this comes up (so sometimes it is force fed - usually with poor results). You may want to try it. Sort of a laxative effect. I myself would wait a bit after the fish has a chance to normalize somewhat.
meds and 10gal tank = stress. If the fish is acting healthy and after some time you may want to try this.

Just to clarify, transfer back to main tank, wait a bit, then give medicated food? Guess that means everyone is getting medicated food then lol. I'm ok with that since this treatment appears to be rather mild.

Try going through this thread. I would try to target feed. Read the thread. May have info on this.
