Not looking to seal anything just looking for a non toxic sealant I can use inside the tank for a black bare bottom look.

Can you just flip the tank over and paint the bottom? It would probably be easier that way. Or have you ever thought of using flooring tiles on the bottom. That looks nice. Otherwise though I don’t know about the pond armor.

It's a 300 glass aquarium not flipping it over lol. Tried the tile and though cut very precise lots of gunk still gets underneath

Reading the description on Amazon regarding the product they don’t really specify if it does or doesn’t work on glass but did state can be used in aquariums so maybe it will work???

Will be following this thread as I'm also looking for a similar solution (to hide a white oyama stickered 325 bottom, with water and an Arowana inside it).

Thought about tile (and currently using it on a 325 where it looks nice), but much agreed it's almost impossible to not get some detritus accumulating under the tiles over time, so I'm also seeking another way to hide this way too bright bottom (and for various reasons I for sure don't want to put in any gravel or sand substrate).

.....get some plasti dip and spray it on the bottom surface of the glass if you can reach in through the cabinet doors.

Yeah, I don't think it'll stick very unless you feel like sanding the glass to make it rougher so the pond armor can get a better grip

K krichardson great idea but I have plywood between the tank and the stand

I have a couple of 10 gallon tanks laying around. I'm gonna use a thin layer of Flex Seal liquid in one and plasti-dip in the other both inside the tanks. Let them dry for a few days. Fill up drop some goldfish in each and test the water parameters. Rumor has it that plasti-dip will work indefinitely inside the tank if fully cured.

I also read the website and it spoke about fiberglass but not regular glass. But like TheReefer TheReefer stated, the surface would have to be sanded down so don't think that Pond Amor would work.

So early yesterday I grabbed an old 20 long out the shed and put about a quarter inch thick layer of Flex Seal liquid. Did a crappy job but wasn't doing it for looks. Filled it up a couple hours ago (let it cure for 24 hours) bought a large goldfish and dropped it in. Will monitor this tank closely for the next couple weeks. Anyways the bottom looks great, feels very smooth. Color on can was black but looks dark grayish under the light. I put a small amount of black sand on the right side for color reference. Goldfish so far seems fine and ate as soon as I fed it.

Tomorrow I will do the same thing on a ten gallon tank using plasti-dip on the inside bottom panel.
