My girl was pissed at this male for leaving his original parrot con mate to link up with the white con female and start a family. He started off as a deadbeat dad and wouldn’t guard the female or the eggs but after they hatched he stepped up and has been a good father.
Breeding cichlid fish has the be one of the most rewarding things in fishkeeping. So interesting. Lotta work though if you get into raising the fry. Back in the day I used to hatch my own brine shrimp for the fry.
Very interesting, I’m going to need a couple more setups because I do want to raise some of the fry and cross with other species.
