Hey all. I'm going to be getting a 150 g setup from someone, but comes with a giant gourami (and a few others). I don't really want to keep it, as I have other species I'd like to keep instead. Is this a fish someone would take? I'm located in CT, USA if anyone knows someone who would... thanks.

When you get the GG call and ask your lfs if they would take it off your hands. You can also start another thread here in the Marketplace Forum. Welcome Aboard

Thanks. I called around to several places today to see if they could do it, but unfortunately no takers. :/ I'll definitely post it up on here after I get it if I can't figure anything else out. Based on what I found Googling, a 150g isn't even really big enough for a full grown GG.

It's not really even big enough for a juvenile GG. Haha, Probably why the tank's up for sale, previous owner can't get rid of the gourami, hoped someone would take it if he includes the whole tank.

Guy is a chiropractor who's retiring... the tank is in his office. Honestly, seems to be a matter of not knowing what kind of fish he was getting. Like, "Cool fish, that'll look good..." Yeah... except they turn into beasts.

well... feed him nutritous food, and Im sure he will be delicious. My girl here got excited the other day when she saw a picture of one. In her home country and village they are eaten frequently.
