I must be under feeding my aimara. He’s 20in and gets about 40-45 massivore pellets 4-5 times a week.
A healthy fish is preferable than an overfed one
Like you, I do skip feeding days once a week too. Great practice actually methinks.

I’m used to not feeling daily because that’s what you do with piranha. I’m surprised he wants to eat as often he does. He’s grown 16in in 26 months so I’m still getting great growth. Hoping he hits 24in by end of year.

Bad pic but it’s hard taking them on a dark tank with lots of light. You can see as he passes 20in he’s starting to put on girth. He’s more impressive in person. Unfortunately as he’s grow the scarring has grown instead of shrunken.

I guess I'm a little confused - this was a LFS pickup?!?!?! I was under the impression Rapps brought in some "Red Aimara" just assumed this was one of them.....
