I just noticed him doing it now, he's going upside down and I never saw him doing that yesterday, he ate yesterday and I always feed him pellets no live foods. Help please

Hard to tell. Doesn’t look like hith. Would add salt 1 tsp per g. Add some kanamycin and furan2. Wounds like this could be columnaris.

He's gasping, already put melefix in it. But he seems worse than before.

Sorry for the loss and agree it looked bacterial...probably from wounds sustained by the pair picking on it. Next time, immediately remove to qt, add salt, lower temp, and do lots of water changes. The reasoning is that is that salt is a mild antiseptic and helps with slime production, bacteria multiply rapidly...especially in warmer waters so run the qt tank below 80 and do lots of water changes to keep the bacterial count down.

Then, try to figure out what exactly the problem is and choose the right medication. Also, I’m not convinced Melafix really does anything but YMMV.

Hope the pair have lots of fry for you

He's been in quarantine for over a month because the pair were nipping at his fins, so I put him in to help his fins grow back. then thinking about what to do with him when they grew back, add him back, put the pair into a 20, sell him, or sell the pair. I don't know what where that wound came from.
