Shallow marshy slow water creeks. Watch for a disturbance among the lily pads on the surface that looks like bubbles. The babies are in a group feeding and gulping air at the surface. The dad is below them guarding them, but you won't see him unless he hits the surface.

I have to put my bowfin business on hold. I found out it's illegal to ship fish from WI without a fish farm license. Sorry.
