Man, why is it getting more and more difficult to engage in a civilized conversation where opinions are to be respected and not shoved into eachother's face? If someone asks for opinions/advise he shouldn't try to "correct" whoever gave him. Opinions differ, that's what keeps the hobby interesting. Can we just agree to disagree? Just my 2¢ , sorry for interrupting.
You are so Right!

I use many different kinds of pellets with my Cichlids, and I think they apreciatte that. Everyday I feed them with 3 ou 4 different food brands.

My Cichlas, still young, with sizes between 15 and 20cm prefer:
- Sera Cichlid sticks.
But they also love:
- Hikari cichlid sticks.
(both flotant pellets)

The Geophagus are crazy for:
- North fin cichlid sticks.
(sinking pellets).

Soon I will post a video for you to comprove the love these foods.

OK, that's a bit before my time as a fishkeeper. LOL
Not Hartz Mountain itself, but the box art is pre1960's IMO.

1960's, and those raw ingredients are still being used in pet food, in 2019. Just like some of the jokers found on online forums, some things in the pet food trade never change. So as consumers we can either accept them, or promote a better way and let our wallets do the talking. Here's one example of an ingredient that is still being used today by a well known fish food manufacturer, much along the lines of that 1960's food.

And the propaganda as promoted by the producers of this raw ingredient.

Perhaps fish also enjoy the sweet aroma of baked goods? lol
