I agree with the upgrade. Since I've been a member RD. has been a mainstay of MFK. He's extremely knowledgeable about many aspects of the hobby and is always willing to help anyone. I can see why some would consider him grumpy or even arrogant but it's all part of the package. I have found his bluntness quite funny at times personally and have enjoyed my interactions with him. Iwould bet more people have benefited from his no nonsense style than have been given bad advice from him. If ever need help I would be hoping to get a reply from him.
One thing that has always impressed me about his posts is the fact he always has a link to another thread or some kind of reference to back up his statements, like him or not, the man knows his stuff.

When you post on this forum, for information on whatever subject, you can guarantee that the responses will be varied. Most will contribute with meaningful advise and then it's up to the OP of the thread to pick the bones of the information and use it in their situation to try and remedy whatever the problem was in the first place.

Occasionally i've had a problem and rather than put it out there for the masses and get lots and lots of useful, and maybe not so useful information, which could take time if it's a long thread, i've gone to Neil direct and PM'd him. This way you don't need to pick through lots and lots of information from multiple members, you just get a single quality wad of advice that you know is top drawer.

And yes, i've upset him, and you certainly know about it! But shortly after he was there for me again. He has my upmost respect and he deserves the highest accolades on this forum.

Though knowing Neil, I don't think he'd care much for all this attention.

Yes, I absolutely hate the attention, and all the flash & fanfair that the gold bling brings.

Having said that, if I humbly accept this most deserving accolade, I would request that "Crazy Canuck" be replaced with OG (in 24k gold letterring of course) and possibly a 24k gold MFK logo placed on Billy's cowboy hat.

I personally would like to thank RD. for educating me on junk fish food and fish foods with proper ingredients for healthier fish. He is most definitely a teacher here on the Forum. I hope to see him become a moderator. Please find a way to put that gold MFK label across Billy Jack's hat.
