Not sure, it came from LFS (Beltway Aquarium). They sold it as a black pirhana. I suppose they didn't know what they had?Gibbus my guess. Good lookin. Collection point would help
Ok, thanks for info. I'll look into S, Altuvie.I was originally the one who identified S. Gibbus on Pfury years ago when they came in. I do not believe this too be S Gibbus, I believe it looks like S. Altuvie but still small and not enough adult pictures of S Gibbus to be certain that it isn't. I do not believe its S rhombeus based on eye color and fin position. Just my opinion
Yes, its 5-5.5 inches. It's been in this tank for about 3 months, but was in a grow out for a little over a year. Also you never told us a few key facts number one being. How big exactly is the specimen? I can only guesstimate its roughly 5inches? Also how long has it been in that tank? Have you had it a few days? Or weeks or months?
If it was recently introduced into the tank it may color up some more
If it's only 3-4 inches its probably still too early to say anything other than rhom cf or spilo cf.
Yes, 4 of them.
