Ya, I did that. Fillies one a little, then the other... hoping to only have these here for 30-60 days....

Moving stuff around to make room for larger tank...
 
The stand can support the vertical load but that top should not cantilever more than its own thickness, anywhere.

It's gonna bow down at the corners guaranteed.

and the tanks are gonna split and leak at the seams.

I am dubious. I am usually all for people thinking outside the box, but I assume balancing two tanks above one stand that is too small will almost certainly, maybe not the week you set it up, but will eventually, end in disaster. It is your set up though, your home as well I hope, so go for it if you want. You should put up a webcam link here though, so people can bet the over under on when the whole thing goes ass up.

There are laws against doing this sort of thing you know.

I don't know how widely they are enforced but it is absolutely illegal here to build something dangerous that may collapse and injure people.

I worked in a structural engineering office over 20 years and it's one of the reasons we have Structural Engineers. It's called "Life Safety Review" and it's administered by the department of the state architect.

How do we start the betting?

You ever went to home depot and looked at the wood they have for sale? If yours is like mine then I guarantee you that there is a stack that is bending. I can get a picture if you really want proof, not sure when but eventually I can.
Also, why wouldn't you just get a stock tank or even a kiddie pool?

I thought about that, it’s a bit more tacky.....

I’ve only got $250 into those tanks and stand... I’m down to see if they will break after they’ve served their purpose....

Oh, for what’s it worth I have had a 135 bust in my house before.... just makes work....

Incase you ever need a large temporary (or permanent) tank then I'd look into stock tanks at tractor supply. The prices online are the same or very close to what I find in store.
