I just tried this method but with spinach (we don't eat lettuce so didn't feel like buying it just for this) but it didn't work, so I guess I'm going to have to buy the lettuce

If the lettuce method fails you can always squish them.

Just curious how long you left the veg in the tank? Did you leave it overnight or just a few hours??? Coz as you know, snails arent the fastest critters after all lol...

Lol yeah I know. I left it overnight. It got all translucent and almost mushy before I pulled it. I didn't even see my otos go for it. Which surprised me a lot. I figured even if it didn't work, at least the otos would have food

Is this a baby ramshorn snail up against the glass? I haven't added anything to the tank since the last post, so idk how this got in there. I think I saw a baby MTS as well the other day. Like I said before as long as their numbers don't get crazy, I don't really mind them, unless they start eating my plants.

I wouldn’t try to get rid of them. Snails a beneficial in a planted aquarium and will only populate to the amount of food made available. They will boom and then bust and level out to a steady population.

If you did see a mts then ready yourself for war, unless you can eradicate them early on it will be a battle to get rid of them because they breed so much and so fast. The only way I was able to was by fasting my tank for 4 days straight, feed 3 days, then repeat until they’re all dead.
