I picked up some plants for my 5 gallon so far. I saw some nice plecos and i'm wondering if any of them would be able to live in my 45 gallon, green phantom, blue phantom, gold nugget, I really like the colors on the green phantom? If so, would one of these be able to live with a vittata pleco, upside-down catfish, and a pictus catfish?

I’ve got a 4” green pleco in my 45, growing very slowly.... and another, 2” fancy sumthin pleco....

I rarely see any of my fancy plecos, they are nice though!

Check to see how big/ fast they grow, I’d presume not too big/not too fast...

Not an expert about plecos but I know they can grow so big. Maybe there is some kind which is not fast grower or which doesn't become so big. You can google about the particular fish you are interested in and see if that allows.

Also, yoh can buy some backup hardware for future like some cleaning toold or pumps, air stones etc. Fifty percent sale is a chance you should not miss. I would buy food, medicines etc rather than the fish itself. Fish you buy which you can easily keep and not just because its on sale. Good luck.

Its only on fish and plants, everything else 20% off.

The Phantom's stay smaller 6/8in range. Don't know about the nugget.

One should be fine so long as there are plenty of hides and such. Just know tho they make lots of poo, so maintenance will have to accommodate that.

Just curious, how much is he asking for the green phantoms and at what size? I'd pick a few if I were you

You wouldn't put "a few" phantoms in a 45 long term. Granted, they only max out at about 7" but "a few" will be really pushing the bio load.

I paid £80 for a green phantom a few years ago, that's in the UK. If the prices are anything like that where you are, and they're offering 50% off, then that wouldn't be a bad deal.

All 3 L# plecos mentioned top out around 6”. But are usually between 45-90 for 4” and over 100 for any bigger size than that where I am from.

They are beautiful but don’t expect to see them. If you have a nice set up, they will be hiding. If you don’t have hides they will be stressed and won’t be so beautiful. Lol. Double edged sword.

Mine do well in my 70, I see them 2-3 times a week and I’m happy. Whenever my fishnerd friends come over, they are never out. So they are for my enjoyment only. Lol.
