Don’t feel bad.......I stepped on a fl tube I put on the floor once.

Lol thanks, brings back memories. I worked at an aquarium, and we were dismantling a shelf. My boss dropped on of the steel support which fell and a FL tube and it shattered everywhere (basically exploded) and he was freaking out for about 5 mintues thinking we had glass in our hair.

Don't go around telling everybody and their uncle about this but just about everyone has broken a lid before. We just don't talk about it to confuse the companies that make the lids.

Not sure, I took the glass out of the hinge and am thinking of making my own with acrylic.. I have to check the thickness of the sheet I have in the basement to see if it fits.

I lost count on how many lids ive broken. Dropped them, kicked them while leaning on the tank standing on the floor, sitting on them you name it i have done it

Let's not even mention children breaking them... I lose more lids that way.

I literally had opened one so it was at a 90 degree angle to the tank when it slipped out of my hand somehow and hit the black plastic trim then broke.
