Hi, everyone i am having trouble plumbing the ultima, since they recommend a pump rated at 2k gph at 10’ of head i figured a vectra M1 i had laying around would work since its advertised at 2k gph at 21’ of head..also have a
jebao dcf- 15000 Rated for 3900 gph that i was thinking to try out how ever i am not sure if it will work externally, i know some people have used them so before going and buying a new pump i could give this one a try or would it be a total waste of time..thats in advance.

I would recommend using a much larger AC powered pump. DC pumps do not perform well under a lot of pressure. You need 2000 gph at 10ft head and that vectra only produces 2000 gph at 0 ft head.

Looks like you've already hard plumbed everything in, maybe might as well give it a try now, since you'll probably need to redo the plumbing a bit anyway for a new and likely bigger pump.

i did try and no water came out the output, i know the pump is good because i was using it on another tank before installing it here, anyways i couldnt wait and order a reeflo snapper that should make this run like a charm.
