You mean to say either Oscars or green terrors?Even if I keep a single guy with the Oscar pairThis is a very subjective question.
In that size tank i would go with one or the other. With a pair of either species, youre going to have some territorial squabbling and breeding aggression towards the others. So long term, your fish may not look so good what with the shredded fins or bite marks or even stress related illnesses from the constant aggression.
A 135 is a good sized tank for one of those pairs though, possibly with some other non cichlid tankmates.
You mean a single guy with the Oscar pair?I’d pick one of those fish and just focus on them. It’s the best way to have a beautiful looking fish.
My male is in a 135 and he utilizes every bit of the tank.
You mean a single guy with the Oscar pair?
And is your gt male alone in that giant Tank!Must have grown big

Thanks for advice. Your gt looks wow!I mean just keep one big fish. One Oscar or one green terror. Then you can fill in with none cichlid fish.
I had two females in with my male for a bit over a year. Then he got hith from the stress the females cause from spawning aggression. Now he has his son in with him temporarily.
Kinda blurry, but the most recent picture I have. He is a bit over 10”.

Thanks for advice.I would consider thatYeah either the oscars or the gt pair. Focusing on the growth and happiness of one pair will yield much better results than trying to care for several large fish in that tank.
I wouldnt add just one of the other cichlid type, but instead look for a suitable bottom feeder or schooling fish to compliment the pair of cichlids. But thats just me.
Great tank and fishI mean just keep one big fish. One Oscar or one green terror. Then you can fill in with none cichlid fish.
