My new Baby Jaguar

I promised myself no more fish as I took a friend to the lfs to pick up some cold water fish , I didn't even walk into the tropical section....until he did and even then i was barely looking ( honest) but at eye level i noticed 2 juvenile jaguar's ?? before I knew it I owned him/her and he/she was in my quarantine tank ? so the journey begins with the lil one , I love the appearance of jaguar's especially males but I will keep this one regardless off gender already showing so much personality, coming to the surface to feed while I'm there ?.

Thank you , only had him/her 11 days & can already see growth ? cant wait to see what sex it will be.

Only a couple of inches at the moment so got a good few months wait , such a cool fish so glad I pulled the trigger & got it .

Looks female to me (at the moment) but may change as more color develops.
The lack of spots on the lower jaw, is normally a female trait, as is the more torpedoed shaped head.

I'll keep you posted , growing fast so will soon know for sure, I think males look more attractive once grown but would never swap it , shows a lot of character for such a small fish .

Thought I'd post a recent pic of my Jaaaaaaag , seems to be doing good and is very confident, the light is behind her/him and Barbarian has kicked up the substrate while feeding as per sorry sorry about the pic quality but thought while he's sat next to me ??

Reading my post back I called it a Male by accident ? regardless of Gender I'm very happy with progress in general......fingers crossed for a Male though ?
