Introducing my new Flowerhorn babies

My new babies arrived yesterday. They are settling in to their 200 litre tank well. Eating well. I have tried cichlid flakes and FH pellets and devoured both.

I bought 5 hoping for a nice female to try to breed with my Thai Silk. I’ll grow them out for a few months. Then sell 4 on.

Paid 90 euro for 6 including shipping to ireland. But 1 was DOA. they are about an inch.

Think they are Red Dragons but seller wasn’t sure.

What u think?

I had the tank divided into 5 separate compartments. But they are that small they could squeeze through. So have now removed them till I fatten them up a bit. I added some rocks for them to hid. Cause they are already chasing each other around tank and nipping each other’s fins. . Baby gangstas. Ha.

Hey. Cheers. They are loving the tank. Eating like crazy. A lot more active than my Silk Thai was at that size. He was my first flowerhorn and I kept his water temps at 25 deg for first 9 months. And I think that stunt his growth a bit. Since I warmed the temp up to 27 a month ago. He has started to grow a lot quicker. And is far more active. His hump starting to show again. Check my other post for baby pics. Ha.

I’ll take a few pics each week and make a grow journal. I’ll let ya know once done.
