Hey guys, I'll be setting up two 30 gallon growout tanks and I've been thinking if I can get away with just getting a sponge filter for each of them.
My biggest concern is when I do a water change I usually put the dechlorinator directly to the tank then run my tap water directly into the tank as well. I've been doing this for a long time and I've never been into trouble, though I'm really confident doing this because all of my tanks right now has external filters so I know the BB would not be affected.
But right now I would be running sponge filters exclusively for both tanks since they're kinda small so I'm concerned if my water change style would affect the BB in the sponges.
I know I'm kinda over thinking this one but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks for anyone that could help!
