Any tips on treating for quarantine? Not sure if GG is more sensitive to treatment, I don't want it to melt!

The current Pothos in the main tank recently added is slow to acclimate, I've had to be hard core in trimming leaves. Roots and stems are fine, got a lot of leaf melt so the GG will fill in the gaps until new sprouts come in. My canopy is looking kinda so so right now! Chip the severum likes to nosh on it.

Basic care? I'll be leaving the GG as floaters. My fish love shaded canopy.

Honestly it's really hard to treat plants without killing them. Atleast when it comes to chemicals. Usually it's just just to put it in quarantine for a month to see if anything happens like, black beard algea, green hair algea or the worst of all pond snails. I made the stupid decision once of just putting a plant straight into my tank and ended up with green hair algea and pond snails. Got rid of the GHA but I still have the snail problem 3 years later. Those lil things will destroy plants once all the algea is gone and breed by the thousands. Almost impossible to get rid of em too. Only ways I found to keep up with them was to either have a small puffer or to have clown loaches.

I actually ended up using a product called MINNFINN for disinfection of the plants. Clean as a whistle and no damage. Tiny snails were removed everywhere. Unfortunately my fish ATE all seven bunches of the grass before I could get pictures. The product MinnFinn was recommended by a Canadian lady on a fish pond site. I had looked at other methods of sterilizing plants. Other products can be used also:

Here is the product I used. Solution in 5 gallon bucket for one hour, cold rinses and good to go.

O nice good to know they made something safe for plants. Sucks about the grass its self tho. I never had any luck with guppy grass either.
