I have no experience keeping a Bichir, but its usually best to just keep Africans cichlids with Africans. You can keep bigger varieties of Botia Loaches with Africans for clean up duties.

No on the Fahaka, Fahakas would make short work of a bichir

You could keep an ornate bichir with lake tanganyika cichlids they are from the same lake

some non aggressive cichlids .. but you might not consider them "predator" .. but stretching a point pretty much any omnivore could be called a predator.. i would consider sevs.. acara's maybe a dempsey as a non chichlid: pink tailed chalceus.. very cool non aggressive predator, but i wouldn't put a chalceus in with anything aggressive..

You could do a mix bichir tank, maybe with a fire eel and a Black ghost knife or a Lima shovel nose. Pike cichlids MIGHT work with the birchir and they’re very predatory

Something like this, but on a smaller scale, maybe, delhezi weeksi and Senegal bichir, Lima shovel nose or black ghost knife maybe a top swimming predator like a chalceus
