Jaguar cichlid with ornate bichir? will it work?

hello, later today I will be receiving an 12 inch jag from a friend whos tank had just starting leaking and he didnt want to replace it, the only tank i have free is a 150 gallon with an 18 inch ornate bichir, wondering if these 2 will work together? from what ive been told the jaguar only hates cichlids as tankmates but not non cichlid species

I think it should work I used to keep my jaguar with an albino senegal

It depends on the Jaguar Cichlid personality. If you notice any aggressive behavior from Jaguar seperate. Btw Ornate Bichir can get territorial but would be no match for the Jaguar .

Thank you for the response, I'll test it out, worse case I have a 120 gallon tank with a Cuban who's very calm that the ornate can always go with

I've small parachromis Multifasciatus with a young delhezi. Only problem I find is getting food to the bottom of the tank, without over feeding and parachromis. Other than that can't see it being a problem

Thanks for the response, I'm going to test this out when I receive the fish in abit and I'll let you know how it goes

So I put the 2 together and happy to say no problem at all, the jaguar doesn't even acknowledge the ornate's prescence lol

so far so good, as far as ive seen the jaguar doesnt even look at the ornate lol
