I've never kept Peacock bass but always admired them.

I've ordered a 72x30x24 tank and whilst I suspect its too small I thought I would ask on here before I discount them

cheers Simon

Folks will chime in,

Kelberi I believe are the smallest...

Maybe a few 1-3?

good luck with your research!

If it’s 30 wide you’d get away with 3-4 Bass for a couple years or at least until they hit 18”.
If it’s 24 wide I’d reconsider Bass altogether

My tank is 24” wide. I have a 15” and growing kel. Works for me.

For life that’s a decent tank for Kelberi and maybe a smaller farmed mono. For a growout you could keep intermedia, mono, kelberi, and orinos in there for ~2 years before needing an upgrade from what I’ve seen in their growth rates. Your width is ok they just realistically want more running length. Still, Kelberi are some of the most gorgeous fish out there if you find the right ones. You could grab a school of 8 babies and sell them off as they grow to make your money back till you have 3-4 or a nice pair.
