Catfish swiming with mouth open

I got a little catfish swimming around lethargic with its mouth open. Almost looks like its choking but nothing in its mouth. Hes got a full belly so im hoping it will pass. A little redness around its mouth. All other fish are fine. Water params are fine. No slime or fungus that I can see. I can get a good pic though. He'll sit in the corner for a while then dart around the surface.

The behavior (when still alive) you are describing is not a normal situation but resembles that of a dying fish, open mouth, unreasonable darting at the surface, it sounds like an agony.

But what they are sickened by and are dying from is anyone's guess. If you wanted to troubleshoot, you know well what info needs to be laid out and that the more info you give us, the higher the chances of us actually finding something wrong in your setup or situation that might be responsible for your problems. Still only a chance.
