question about breeding pair of midevils

female has laid eggs and is with them all the time this is day 2,male sits outside entrance of cave,when or if she ever tries to leave he attacks her until she goes back to the eggs.she hasd a panic room to hide in he cant fit into in case he goes crazy.why does he attack her when she leaves the eggs only?

They usually get pretty aggressive before durring and after the breeding

My male does the same thing. He will continue to shove her back to guard them even after they hatch up until they are free swimming. He will then start pushing her back into their "spot" when he thinks it's time to spawn again about a month after the last spawn.

how many days it take to hatch? i see quite a few are already covered in fungus,this is day 3.male keeps moving gravel around and acts like hes looking for something on the ground,he trying to find a place to move the the remaining eggs/fry? other than that he stays at entrance of the cave while she stays inside
