Hello all.
First of all sorry for my english im from Spain and i dont talk very good.

I opened this thread because my flowerhorn is being sick for 1 week without eating nothing.

I went to a travel for 5 days from Monday to Friday so i leave this to my parents.

My aquarium is 200 liters for him alone , the filters is a jbl cristal profi e 1501 with purigen 250ml dose, the temperature in this week is 28ºc.

The Thursday night my mom called me that the fish was rare and didnt eat so much, i told them to change 7 10 liters water change so 70 liters we're changed with prime seachem.

When i back the Friday on afternoon i saw him, he looked ok but at the next day morning he had like a white slime on his gills and over the body.

That day i feed him as usually.

The problem cames because some days before i went to the travel work I bought in a store a fish to make him company, i saw him very alone... (error) a pangasius, after i introduced the pangasius my FH killed it ( poor panga).

On monday 01-20-20 in the morning the white slime on the gills was more so i medicated him with bactopur, thought it we're some parasitals and i raised the temperature to 28 ºC.

During that week with the bactopur and after medicating him he started to go on the top in the acuarium, and has been there for the last entire week without eating, he doesnt want to see anybody.

The saturday i changed again water about 40 or 50% ( 100 liters) and added 1250mg of metronidazol to see if he could improve... After the addition of the medication he started to get worse going on the top and not moving heavinly breathing.

On Sunday (yesterday) he was worse i thought this last tonight he was gonna die :( so i changed him around 60 - 70 liters water).

Now this morning he's so scary, he goes like crazy sometimes and hit himself with the filter tube or the heat tube removing some thorns of his body (i dont know really how are they called).

I just came back from work and he looks better, at least he starts moving around the aquarium but he still does not eat.

I dont know if medicate him again tonight with metronizadol or what to do.

Again appeared little white slime around his left fin but i dont see over the body.

Yesterday was not swimming well like his head was going down...

Im ataching videos to youtube because the photos doesnt apreciate to much the slime i told you.

Bought yesterday some epsom salt on amazon and it's arriving in 2 - 3 hours because i rode here that it was good for this treatment.

What would you do????

Please help, this little is like a little dog for me.

Thank you for reading my post and sorry for the explication mode, im not good on this language.

In this photo you cant apreciate that his fade bars are like white colour I dont know why, his body is whitening.

I’d suggest checking ur water parameters with a liquid test kit. How long has the tank been setup? Are u using a liquid dechlorinator? What color is it’s poop?

I only have stripes test I’ll do it later.

thia tank has more than 1 year set up, but maybe the colonial bacterial is dead because the costapur (blue methylene) i don’t have an hospital aquarium...

I’m using seachem prime .

I think it’s an infection from the pangasius could be it Oodinium ???

thank you all

Sorry for all my posts I dont find where can I edit my postss.

I've tested with a strip it's the only i have.

Parameteres are :

PH:6.0 it always has been like this in my town.
KH: Around 3
GH: 6 to 10.
No2: 0
No3:0

The epsom salt has arrived at my home should I add this or add metrodinazol???

Right now he can even swim correctly he swim randomly with the head down and scaried when somebody goes in the beedroom.

Any idea???

Please

Sorry not getting back to you as im at work. Ur tank isn’t cycled. Ur kH is quite low and maybe causing fluctuations in ur tank. A low ph maybe killing off ur bacteria to cycle. This is after the water changes you have been doing so hard to guess where i were at. But not good to think where it was before. I’m not sure ur fish will survive even with meds. Too much stress on the fish. Sorry.

He doesn’t event know how to swim right now he’s swiminng doing flips.

Is there any way to save him ???

Maybe if I take him to a fish store could they save him ???

Could try.
I will try tomorrow getting to a pet shop near my house and ask for if he could adopt it for me and try to heal him.
If he survive this night ...
Maybe he just need good cycled water to survive and I don’t have that right now...

ill actualice this tomorrow thank you so Much for replies.
