I have 2 green terrors in a 65 gallon aquarium along with a jack, a green sev , a bichir, and a pleco. Everything is doing fine except I bought a male green terror thinking mine was a female. But now I’m not so sure. My green terror has been beating up on my new gt and has started growing what looks to be a Nuchal hump. The original gt has dull colors small fins and is short and stalky. With a small hump on its head. (about3-4inches) The new gt is bright and colorful with long flowing fins. It’s slightly longer than the original but is not as thick. (3.5-4.5) inches

I have been thinking that they might both be males.

The tank parameters are fine
Tank is crystal clear
They are fed bloodworms, mysis shrimp, and Hikari carnivore pellets

(I’ve tried different pellets and flakes they don’t seem to like them)

They both look to be male to me. The stalkier one just looks to be a short bodied varient. Granted I could be wrong as I haven't kept gt in a few years now but they do both seem to be male to me. Might be a bit easier to sex them if we could get a clear pic of the vent underneath them both. They do look nice for how small they are tho.

Thank you I appreciate the response, i was hoping for a pair but I guess not. One more thing, sometimes the lengthier one vibrates or shakes itself and I don’t know if that is submissive or not.

I would say both are male as well.

The patterning in the dorsal, tail, and anal fin in males is bright and shiny, has a metallic look to it. Where as in females the pattern is there, just dull non shiny.

This is a female I had for a bit.

Usually there's only 2 reasons I find a cichlid vibrating towards another. 1. It's displaying for the opposite sex that they are available and interested. And 2. It's letting the other know that they won't take any bull.
