HELP. My ammonia is still 0.25 ppm and Nitrate has risen to 40ppm. HOWEVER MY NITRITE ALSO ROSE TODAY TO 0.50 PPM FROM 0.25. IS THIS A BAD SIGN????? Everything was going so perfectly.

It's normal for the spiking you can do partial wc's to help bring levels down.

It won't disturb a cycling tank.
Hello! I didn't do a water change and decided to wait a day, yesterday my nitrite came 0, today it was 0 as well. Only my ammonia is at 0.25. Have i achieved the cycle? sorry for asking too many silly questions day by day.

I would do a water change to lower the nitrate level, dose ammonia to 2 PPM, wait 24 hours and test all 3 parameters again. It does sound as if you are cycled and this is a common method to verify that ammonia and nitrite are being processed by your bio filter.

The 0.25 PPM ammonia you are still seeing is probably not the harmful ammonia you want to avoid with fish in the tank.
