What are central and south american cichlids favorite foods?

Your best bet is to research what they eat in the wild and try and mimic that. In the end, variety is always the key. However, many of the cichlids are omnivores and require special attention.
What is the best food for color in synspilum and oscar and jag ?

Silversides, omega one river shrimp, crawfish, nightcrawlers, and pellets (I often put the pellets in the silversides)

You may want to start you own thread.
I doubt you will get much help on a 5 year old thread about feed South Americans for your plumbing and return problems.

I have tried massivore a few different times. My wife wont let me feed it anymore. Just a few pellets will stink up the water. She has a nose for it as soon as the bag opens wherever in the house she is I will hear you aren't using that smelly food are you. So I just quit using it. No matter if you feed one pellet it stinks the water up and the fish swallow it instantly. The fish did seem to like it. But NLS is by far my favorite food I use. They also seem to love bug bites every so often.
