LOL duly notedI word of caution, if you do get fake ones Pi just may tear them to shreds like Casper did his.

I prefer the tank as is.Do you think this setup would benefit from fake plants?
I was thinking of the aquatop silicone plants Val/sword. Even if I did a low tech planted rank, I would have to get new lighting, and deal with more algae. Additionally, cichlids would most likely redecorare/shredd live plants since they are already in the tank and the plants wouldn't be established. I have done several low iron high tech planted tanks and imo they are more maintenance than a reef. So I do not want live plants at this time.
Do u think I should just keep decor as is? I mean with a dark blue background it is never going to look too natural...

My Ehiem air pump comes with the emitters. And as you can see, Casper loves ripping them off the back wall. The one on the right is floating as he has ripped it off the glass.Mine is obsessed with moving the airline and air stone at the moment. He spends most of his day riding the stream to the top and splashing. Once my fish get bigger and a little more rowdy the plan is probably to get rid of the Manzanita, but we will see. I am limited to what type of drift wood I can fit through the acrylic top. I would love a stump in the middle, but do not think I can fit it through the top.

An idea of mine that I have not tried yet.
Pet bird stores carry some bigger hardwood branches for Macaw perches.
I was going to get a couple and try them. Bigger around 2/4 inches diameter, will be harder for Casper to move. Should be safe for fish since intended for birds use.
