Norwegian 240 gallon

I've been thinking about a SA community in this tank, and came up with a list, tell me what you think:

Severum
Chocolate cichlid
parrot Hoplarchus psittacus
Belly crawler pike
flagtail prochilodus
Oscar
Green terror
Ornate pim
Royal pleco
Black ghost knife
6 silver dollars

I would focus on just a few of those species. That would be too many fish, a lot of them not necessarily compatible either.

Feel free to suggest what would make a nice colorful SA community tank including an Oscar?

If it was me, I'd go with one oscar and a group of SD--myleus types would work well. Any smaller types would eventually be made a meal. Then an active predatory cat like a vulture or bolt cat.

I like the idea of an Oscar and a vulture cat, maybe you can do that and maybe do medium sized cichlids

Can a vulture cat stay in a 240 gallon for life?

96"x24" footprint? I would think so. Once it got large, you'd probably want to keep your scaping minimal to give plenty of swimming space.

Alternatively, you could try a few of the medium sized pims like pimelodus ornatus or blochii. Just make sure they are decent sized when you get them because the oscar will grow quick and any pim under 8" is potential lunch for a big o.

Ok, time for an update! Long story short, I now got an Asian Arowana (wanted one for 10 years :) )
The stocking right now are:
18" Asian Arowana
8" Severum
5" Oscar
3" Blue Acara
3" Electric blue Jack Dempsey

2 FX6 for filtration

So far so good!92828215_3678609085543109_3281659192317837312_n.jpg92928145_215328319904546_7096012045803323392_n.jpg93419786_211059430332526_396032148315832320_n.jpg
