Does anyone have this light and if so what are your thoughts?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not sure if the 20 will be enough for an 18" deep tank.
I purchased 3 of the 120's for my 6', 24" deep tank. PAR readings are great at tank bottom so I'm curious to see how they do.

The 20's have great reviews from everywhere I've seen people talk about them, but I'd question the power for your set up if you are planning on growing anything.

So the 120 grows plants well at 24 inch depth? I am actually looking to change my lights on my 210 gallon but I'm heavily planted... all low to medium plants from val to hygro

I cannot confirm if it truly does, as I haven't set the tank up yet. But PAR readings at 24" depth, with the light 4" above the water line were 140-160 range directly under the light. 12" from the center they dropped to around 90~.

The light should have an effective spread of 24" diameter, so I will be using 3 on a 6' long tank. Should give me 90-160 par throughout the entire bottom of the tank. Mid tank readings were in the 200's, so taller plants should do great.
