Panic is the 5th horseman . . .
The average age of corona deaths is like 80 years old.
The real danger is that you'll give it to grandma.

I'm 65 and today I'm going to help an 80 y.o. fellow fix his dunebuggy.

That's a different disease . . . ;)

Meanwhile, the National Guard is heading to a town in New York in order to impose a two week quarantine lock down!

I guess that’s because they are realizing they can’t rely on people self quarantining. I told my husband the first thing all the people returning home do is go out grocery shopping?
And after being out on a vacation who really has the money to take an additional two weeks off work? Bills don’t stop just because a virus is going around.

Very true.

Sams club sent out an email reassuring customers that they are reinforcing their cleanliness and working on the new demand for paper and cleaning products.

I was more intrigued reading that you can now scan items as you put them in your cart as part of their “scan and go” on the app. No need to use the check out.

Have you heard of the Amazon stores that have no checkers, or self check out. The AI and cameras keep track of what you take and charge you accordingly.

That sounds crazy! I have not heard of that.

We had brawls over toilet paper a few days ago. Now the same people are complaining that supermarkets won't refund their money when they realise no one really needs 300 rolls of toilet paper and they try to take it back.
We also have the formula 1 Grand Prix here starting tomorrow, 1000s of international visitors and already 8 members of formula 1 crew in quarantine with suspected corona. I'm shocked the powers that be are so stupid to let it happen.

Everyone thinks quarantine is good, but I think this will slowly run its course, and infect the non-resistant population.

The continents were all effectively on quarantine from each other until we learned to sail.
Then the diseases went both ways like lightning.

Thus the bigger the quarantine, the bigger the eventual risk of a chain-reaction event.

I am no epidemiologist, but the history seems persuasive.

We can moderate the spread so it's not such a social shock--so we don't all get it at once--but I don't see any chance of rapid elimination.

That would be a statistical impossibility IMO.
