vent shot confirmation inquiry

i think i read somewhere that gold saums dont actually pair bond.so that might be why they just hang around each other all day but dont exhibit breeding signs that im used to seeing besides the male shimmering alot and cleaning off stones,digging holes

Lol yeah that's kind of the same with the big female FH I got atm. Thought she was a male for so long but turned out she was a she.

Wouldn't surprise me much. Fish are weird animals lol.
 
yea its really weird the gold saums..they just always on same side of the tank together few inches apart at most,,and if one leaves the area it isnt long till the other one follows.it looks like their schooling even though they the only 2 in the tank lol
 
i dont know what this gt is doing tbh.just full blown creeper mode slowly following her around then he goes back to his tunnel.rinse n repeat.i know my male midevil exhibit this obsessive behavior when he met his female.its like he couldnt leave her alone for long before hes back there at her cave shoving his face in to make sure shes still in there

Lol that's kinda funny, fish goin creeper mode. To be fair tho they got allot more reasons to be creepers then ppl do. Atleast when it comes to fish creepers they get the lady in the end.

yea the midevil pair had went through a break up that lasted a week or so and he didnt want her anywhere near him..im guessing was a failed spawn and he was pissed.but eventually he started making trips to her cave and just slowly swimming by it,stopping for a sec to look at her then swimming off.finally i did a 50% water change with cool water and they were back together,she came out of the cave flaring at him and not backing down.was neat to watch.you dont think of a fish having really any kinda personality

Lol honestly most fish have bigger personalities then allot of cats and dogs do. Lol even with something as small as neon tetras have their own personalities. I got 1 neon that refused to school with the rest of em. Later found out it was because she was the only female in a group of 9 males.

oh wow thats crazy lol yea ive had a ton of fun in the hobby and now this breeding is like a hobby all on its own within one
