Yo,

I am getting a 270 litre tank and stand on eBay for 1 pence?. What a deal!

I was going to get a new cheap tank but I thought that they would come much smaller...

My stocking for the tank I had planned was a fun side-breeding tank:

4 Super red longfin bristlenose
Some of my big cherry shrimp
Snakeskin Lace guppies
Ramshorn and Malaysian Trumpet Snails
Plants

I was going to use of some of these to feed my terrapins and ropefish ( the deformed/cullable ones) and the better ones to try and sell.

The problem now is, since I am getting a significantly larger tank, I feel that the stocking would not suit a big tank well. I would do it if there are options for more fish which are easy to breed and sell that can populate the tank and as well not kill any offspring. Or should I just stock the tank with some cool fish I like?

Also, if there are any cool big fish that are cool to try and breed ( don't have to be easy) and will sell nicely- any 1 fry for more than 2 bucks. I am just looking for inspiration here.

Thanks!

You might research Mbuna. Could keep a few colonies of smaller Mbuna. Some varieties are relatively expensive, so potential profit for offspring exists.

Is there any articles or videos about breeding mbun?

Just go to the MFK African Cichlid site. Huge amounts of info exists.
Really all you need is a well planned rock hardscape "preferably Limestone" & hard water w/ PH 7.8 - 8.3. The Limestone takes care of that. Mbuna are tenacious mouth breeders. Here's a pic of some of mine;
