Pretty much everyone is all for it. We have a huge portion of the population who, in the words of the president, are living with immuno-compromising diseases, are malnourished or living in crowded, impoverished conditions. To say the virus would bring havoc is an understatement, so a lockdown while our cases are rising over 400 would be a safe bet in the long run :D

Ohio starts a shelter in place at midnight tonight with all non-essential businesses to be closed. Grocery, drug and hardware type stores stay open, other business that provide necessary supplies and also pet food stores.

It is not a lock down but allows people to get necessary supplies to stay at home. Some idiots are out still buying obscene amounts of stuff that they can just get during weekly trips. Some stores are limiting the number of people at one time though.

I just realized this virus has affected me in yet another way. I like to run a heavier stocking than most people on here bioload wise, if all of my fish in my two 75 gallons were at their max size then I could probably fully stock four 75 gallons, perhaps a fifth one as well. Most of them are either halfway grown or still quite young which is what was giving me the time I needed to get the upgraded tank I need. I was planning to work through the summer to save up enough for my upgraded tank along with a few others in order to give them the tank they need when full grown, now that I most likely can't work during the summer my plan is thrown off course. I still have at least a year before the parameters will be too unstable even with every trick I know for daily water changes of around 80%.

Uk has gone into lock down tonight.

Sucks. As I’ve just met this out of this world nurse that I’m not going to see for months now. It’s a lot worse then are government are letting the media publish, to avoid mass panic. For some reason us brits are hoarding pasta. Hand sanitizer and loo roll. There’s basically no food left on the shelves or freezers. I’ll be turning to the local deer population soon. Have my cross bow ready ?

It would be interesting to see how each country comes out of this and the time scale. Might be worth making a thread. We have member from all over the world on this page what will be able to keep us all up to date.

We are starting with a 3week lock down. Everything’s closed. Even McDonald’s, subways. Nando’s. Greggs. Costa, Starbucks ect.. all the shopping centers (malls for you guys over the pond) gyms, any place of public gatherings. The whole world has stopped.

I personally think it will be a 6-12week lock down minimum.

I’ve most likely been exposed to the virus. I have a sore throat whilst writing this. Although. I’m a fit, althletic 26 year old with no known underlying issues. So I’ll take my chances. Although, if it hits the last few people in my family. They will not make it, most have asthma. There was an 18 year old lad die yesterday from covid19. Are current infected , death toll and recovered stands at. (See screen shot)

Uncertain and scary times ahead guys & girls. Keep safe.

Toodle pip.

In my county we now have 13 cases with 5 deaths.

An 18 year old died? That's shocking especially for me being the same age.

We know a 14 y.o. dird in China, and a 15 y.o. in the states.
Haven't heard of any other kids dying.

So far, almost all of our deaths have been very old or very sick people.

They figured out people in areas that take chloroquine for maleria were being cured, and so far no deaths are reported from those taking it. This has caused a black market already, where people are buying to have it "just in case".

Supplies are holding out here, and I haven't gone out for days.

Mostly I am continuing to fix up the garage, and mess with my fish.
By estimate, I have over 400 fish, but 300 are just guppies, small mollies, and their fry.

Felix seems to be consuming about 30 fry per week, but this may slow as the fry grow larger.

He now refuses to eat fish kibble, and even turns down peeled shrimp. Nothing but live food.

Unfortunately, I have to go out for more worms, and the bait store has been closed so I'm going out back with a shovel . . .

I'd still go for bait, but spotty rain has been predicted thru Saturday, so no fishing will happen. I just need to feed Felix.
